An elegant brass vase, hand-crafted in Japan, Showa Period.
The finish is Murashido, a centuries-old technique that consists in quenching the cast brass in hot oil and smoke it with rice straw, which gives the vase a beautiful mottled patina. This vase is finished in dark green, with mottled aread in deep dark red.
Dimensions: 11" high x 5.5" diameter. Signed at the bottom.
