Founded by André Leboeuf in 1776, the factory received the protection of Queen Marie-Antoinette in 1778 and adopted the red crowned A mark, which appears on both pieces.

The set is of refined covered trembleuse form with a deep saucer designed to hold the cup securely. The cup has a tapering body, loop handle and domed cover with a berry finial and leaf.

The decoration combines pink and lilac ribbon trellis panels, blue floral sprigs and gilt borders on a white ground. The saucer features a geometric ribbon design giving a neoclassical balance.

Condition
Wear to gilding inside the cup. Small loss to the leaf on the cover. Saucer with old staple repair later reinforced with glue. Decoration well preserved. This piece has an attribution mark,
