Warren Manufacturing Company of Chicago (on the brass plate at the top) and the McCaskey Register Company of Alliance, Ohio (on the side), suggesting a collaboration in which McCaskey likely commissioned J.D. Warren to produce this solid oak piece as part of its larger accounting and record-keeping systems.

McCaskey was known for its innovative credit registers used to organize daily customer account slips and receipts, while J.D. Warren specialized in high-quality cabinetry—an expertise clearly evident here. This single-unit cabinet features 96 pigeonhole compartments: the lower cubbies measure 5.75” W x 5.75” H, and the upper cubbies measure 5.75” W x 4” H. Each compartment includes a brass label holder, allowing for easy customization and organization.

The cabinet stands an impressive 85.5” tall and is thoughtfully angled, with a depth of 25” at the base tapering to 10” at the top.
