This is a copy of Auguste Moreau’s The Water Bearer. Moreau was a bronze sculptor from France whose father and two brothers worked during the same period. They were highly successful and produced many classically styled sculptures. The statue is made of bronze and is mounted on a green marble base. It is in great condition, with age-related wear to the finish.
