This set consists of a stunning gilt “winged” frame settee and 2 matching Bergere chairs. The richly carved frames are adorned with authentic gold leaf and sit on fluted legs, and they are in very good condition. The real surprise here is the stunning upholstery. This is classic French Louis XVI at its best. The pink silk features a rich floral pattern in shades of raspberry’s pink with green accents. There are 2 very subtle watermarks on the inside back of the settee ( see photos) and 2 very small dark spots on the seat. The 2 armchairs also have some watermarks on the cushions (see photos). There are no tears. All 3 pieces are very sturdy. The cushions are down-filled and very comfortable. Chair dimensions: 26 wide x 24.5 deep x 40:tall. Generous proportions for comfortable seating.
