We recently purchased it in Paris. This image originally appeared in a 1937 French magazine of the time promoting jewelry at the Bijoux de l' Exposition held in Paris. The image featured jewelry designs by leading Parisian joailliers: Cartier, Mauboussin, Boucheron and Chaumet. The haughty model is centered amidst sparkling jewels of the Haute Joaillerie maisons. The designs were often created with precious metals and rare gemstones and reflected exceptional workmanship, limited editions and, of course, wearable art. The image is signed and dated by Jacques Henri Lartigue, an accomplished and world recognized French photographer and painter known for his work with automobiles, planes and Parisian fashion names. This print is perfect for today's vintage jewelry collector. It makes for dramatic wall decor. The image has strong color; it is in pristine condtion. It is 9.5 x 12.5 inches in size; comes in a neutral tone 16 x 20 custom mat, ready for a standard size frame. See less
