A Very Nice Antique Pennsylvania Hepplewhite Cherry Mid-Case Chest of Drawers, Circa 1800’s
Lancaster or Berks County, Pennsylvania circa 1790-1810
Solid cherry case with poplar and pine secondary woods.
3 drawers across the top, with 4 full width drawers below. Flared French bracket feet, and a redded moulded top moulding. Dovetailed case, and heavy overbuilt germanic style construction typical of Lancaster and Berks Counties.
Lots of storage space! Heavy and substantial chest.
Size: 40 1/2” wide, 22 1/4” deep, and 49” tall
Condition: some minor drawer patches here and there, lower portions of the front feet restored. Refinished in the past 50 years. Use and wear marks/scuffs and dings from age and use are consistent with the age of the piece.
