A Very Nice Antique Pennsylvania Paint Decorated Woodbox, 19th Century
Found in Berks County, PA
Made from Poplar wood, and retains the original paint decoration. Dovetailed case, with square nail construction for the top board, and bottom board. Super clean chest. Looks like it was hardly used. Would make a great coffee table. Unusually heavy for a small chest.
Size: 49 3/4” wide, 19 3/4” deep, and 19 1/2” tall.
Condition: overall very nice clean original as found condition. Minor scuffs and dings from age/use/wear. Use and wear marks are consistent with age. some wear to the paint on the lid.
