An exceptional early 18th century English Queen Anne walnut cabinet on chest, dating to circa 1710.
Crafted in richly figured walnut and inlaid with fine feather banding, this striking piece features a beautifully proportioned double-domed cornice above a pair of quarter-veneered doors. The doors retain their ornate engraved brass hinges and escutcheon, offering both decorative impact and historical integrity.
The interior opens to reveal a fitted arrangement of seven short and two long drawers beneath a shaped frieze, while the base is composed of four long graduated drawers. A slide above the lower section adds both function and traditional detail. The cabinet is raised on shaped bracket feet.
The walnut displays a deep, warm patina with excellent figuring throughout, highlighting the craftsmanship and material quality associated with early 18th century English furniture.
