This versatile rolling "Läsbord" (reading table) was manufactured in Denmark by Furbo and distributed by luxury purveyor Levenger. The table is constructed of rich, warm teak with beautiful natural striping on the top. The wood is especially striking in sunlight. The height is adjustable, and one side tilts. While it was originally used as a drafting table, the adjustability makes this table useful as a laptop stand, sofa table, music stand, or bedside tray table.
This table comes from the estate of a prominent Kansas City architect. It is in excellent vintage condition, with one shallow scratch in a corner, possibly made by the architect at work. The wheels and tabletop mechanisms are in good working order. The Levenger sticker on the underside and the plastic casters point to a manufacturing timeframe of the 1980s.
