Sofa / daybed by Dieter Waeckerlin for Idealheim (Germany, 1950s). A wonderful and rare modernist piece designed by Swiss architect Dieter Waeckerlin. It features a black steel frame and comfortable cushions in a subtly patterned grey upholstery. Thanks to its tilting pendulum mechanism, the sofa can convert into a daybed. In very good vintage condition, with some light signs of use to the fabric. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
