An elegant Art Nouveau brass solifleur vase, produced in Central Europe circa 1910, perfectly expressing the stylised elegance of Jugendstil metalwork and early Secessionist decorative arts. Designed to display a single flower stem, the vase features a scalloped, lotus-shaped base from which a slender neck rises and tapers into a softly splayed lip, echoing the organic outline of a lotus in bloom. Crafted from solid brass, the surface bears a rich, naturally aged patina with subtle oxidation and scattered pitting—hallmarks of original early 20th-century brass work. Though unmarked, the form and finish are typical of workshop-produced Jugendstil vases, where artisanal metal techniques and fluid abstraction were favoured over signature or branding.
Measuring approximately 15 cm in height with a base diameter of 6.5 cm, this antique solifleur vase serves as a restrained yet sculptural accent, ideal for collectors of European decorative arts, or for interiors that favour early modernist, organic modern, or contemporary styles. Its vertical form and quiet ornamentation allow it to sit naturally within both period and minimal design contexts.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Patinated surface with oxidation and minor pitting, consistent with age.
