This rare and elegant ceiling chandelier is a Finnish design classic. It is the work of designer Paavo Tynell and was manufactured at the Oy Taito Ab factory in the 1940s. The chandelier is a stunning example of Tynell's ability to combine brass and glass into a harmonious and atmospheric piece.
The frame of the chandelier is patinated brass, suspended from the ceiling by a brass chain and rod. Four curved brass arms branch out from the central body, each supporting an upward-facing, hemispherical glass shade.
