Each offered with a new custom drum shade in fine green-and-white pinstripe fabric with solid green trim, paired to complement the hand-painted bases. Fitted with a US or international plug of your choice; height listed is the larger of the two including the lampshades.

Each earthenware base carries a chinoiserie composition in the Royal Delft tradition: a long-tailed exotic bird perched among large peony blooms and trailing foliage, painted by hand in rich cobalt blue against a luminous white ground. The baluster form — one of the most enduring shapes in the Royal Delft repertoire — is fitted here with a brass collar that transitions to the bespoke drum shades. Deep cobalt blue against fresh apple green gives these lamps a crisp, spirited presence that works equally well in traditional interiors and more adventurous, pattern-forward rooms.

These two lamps were not issued as a matched pair — they differ slightly in overall scale, carry different painter's initials, and bear different shape numbers on their bases, indicating they left the factory at different moments, painted by different hands. That independence is precisely what makes them interesting: two pieces from the same living manufactory, united by the same motif and the same exacting standard, now brought together as a kindred pair. The slight difference in scale reads naturally in a room, as found groupings so often do.

Both bases carry the printed blue semicircular De Porceleyne Fles factory label alongside the hand-painted Royal Delft mark with individual painter's initials and year codes; the year code on one base confirms production in 1979.
