The long rectangular top is constructed from thick solid oak planks, finished in a soft bleached patina that highlights the dramatic grain, knots, and natural movement of the wood accumulated over centuries of use. Decorative wrought iron diamond-shaped nailheads are inset across the surface, providing subtle visual contrast and reinforcing the historic character of the piece.
The table rests on robust trestle supports with shaped brackets, joined by a substantial mortise and tenon cross stretcher. The base terminates in stepped bridge feet, a classic feature of early French refectory and monastery tables designed for durability in communal dining halls.
