The Piece
This original vintage poster from 1983 was designed by the renowned Franciszek Starowieyski for Molière's play "Don Juan" at the Teatr Nowy in Warsaw. The artwork features the artist's signature "Theater of Drawing" style, presenting a surreal, fleshy landscape with grotesque anatomical details rendered in sanguine tones. A mysterious black sphere punctures the organic forms, creating a tension typical of the Polish School of Posters.
