The Piece
This original vintage poster promotes the Japanese release of the 1934 Austrian film "Hohe Schule" (High School), known in Japan as "Kyoshu". The design features a striking monochromatic green palette, focusing on the intimate profile portraits of lead actors Rudolf Forster and Angela Salloker. The composition elegantly balances the original German title with bold, gestural Japanese calligraphy, capturing the romantic and dramatic essence of this pre-war European production.
