Antique copy of an important work "History of the Conflict between Religion and Science" by John William Draper, M.D., LL.D., professor in the University of New York, author of A Treatise on Human Phycology, History of the Intellectual Development of Europe, History of the American Civil War, and many experimental memoirs on chemical and other scientific subjects. Famous Helena Blavatsky often mentions this book by Dr. Draper and says in her "Isis Unveiled" that this is "a very good book with a bad name".
Published and printed in 1897 by D. Appleton and Company, New York. Hardcover. Leather corners and spine with gold leaf embossed name of the book and the author's name. 374 pages. Good to Fair condition - clean pages, some age wear overall, cracks, rips and small repair on spine. You might like to recover this very good book.
