In this 12-inch ceramic work, Splendidus has applied a bold, sweeping graphic language using metallic gold pigment.
​Rather than following the traditional curves of the vessel, the gold strokes are applied with a gestural, almost frantic energy, creating a visual "shattering" effect. The gold catches the light at different angles, making the vessel appear to shift and pulse as the viewer moves around it.
