This handmade studio pottery vase has a wonderful balance of movement and restraint. The body is wrapped in closely carved linear texture, while the glaze shifts through deep blue, charcoal, and softer green-blue tones inside the vessel.

The slightly uneven opening keeps it from feeling rigid and gives it the kind of handmade character that reads so well in an interior. Even empty, it works as a sculptural accent; with branches or a few stems, it becomes a quietly dramatic focal point.

The underside appears to be incised “R. Pin” or possibly “Ropin,” and dated 2006, though I have not identified the maker with certainty, so I am describing it conservatively as a signed studio pottery vase.
