Here is a large painting measuring 24 inches tall by 18 inches that was created on a birch panel with high quality oil paint. I painted in my garden, which is nowhere near as large as Monet's but has provided much inspiration, and subject matter. The phlox stand tall and brilliant in pinks and reds. Green leaves and sunny yellow frame the flower bloom.

The painting was framed in a matching green artistically distressed frame with a gold under painting and a thin gold rim around the art. The frame measures 26 inches tall by 11.5" wide and 1.75 inches deep.

Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children’s books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon’s Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists’ Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students’ League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
