Here is a vintage intricately hand embroidered cloth measuring 36" x 26" featuring a Chinese design of mythical creatures, butterflies, flying bats, flowers and more (see photo). The embroidery is done with silk threads in various colors, creating an amazing design. Fine gold stiches outline the shapes. The brown fabric has the feel of cotton flannel but fabric content unknown. Hand hemmed on two sides and selvage edge on the other two sides. Possibly used as an altar cloth.
Ideal for display as a wall hanging, framed art, or as a unique decorative accent, bringing a touch of antique Chinese elegance to any space.
