This elegant circa 1925 John Widdicomb French Provincial lowboy/commode chest embodies the peak craftsmanship of Grand Rapids' "Furniture City" era. Crafted in rich burl walnut veneer with beautifully figured grain, it features a serpentine case, classic cabriole legs, and original ornate brass ring pulls with rococo-inspired escutcheons. The top drawer (s) showcase charming hand-painted floral motifs (roses and blooms in soft oranges/greens), adding a delicate decorative touch typical of early 20th-century Provincial reproductions.
