This sculptural piece presents a rounded rectangular form that gently curves into an oval pedestal base, a silhouette that feels architectural yet organic. The front and reverse are each decorated in relief with a mythological vignette of Pan and a Nymph, a motif that evokes the romanticism of neoclassicism while framed in the clean, stylised lines characteristic of British Art Deco. Oak leaf medallions accent each side, adding visual balance and reinforcing the vase’s decorative intent. The pale blue glaze is softly variegated with ochre tones, applied in a subtle drip technique that lends the surface a sense of movement and depth.
