This stool is an elegant example of Czechoslovak craftsmanship from the 1930s, in which the nobility of the Art Deco style is fully manifested. The solid beech construction stands out with its clean lines and conically tapered legs, which give the whole thing stability and visual lightness. As part of the professional restoration, the original wood polish was revived, thanks to which the warm color of the material stood out and the stool regained its representative shine, typical of the interiors of the First Republic.
The original, exceptionally well-preserved upholstery is absolutely unique, which has retained its strength even after decades and is not worn out. It is an honest traditional spring upholstery, which in the past was the standard of the highest quality of comfort. The stool is covered with the original fabric with a rich floral pattern, which has been professionally machine-cleaned. Thanks to this gentle procedure, the colors were restored to their brightness while maintaining the rare historical authenticity and patina, which cannot be replaced by a modern replica.
Thanks to its sensitive restoration and top-notch technical condition, this piece is ready for immediate use indoors, where it will serve as a stylish solitaire for a dressing table or as an additional seating element in a living room. The upper edge of the seat is edged with a decorative piping that emphasizes the craftsmanship detail and overall aesthetic value of the piece. This stool is an ideal choice for collectors and antique lovers who appreciate the combination of original materials and precise workmanship.
