A late 19th century French Napoleon III marquetry jardinière, or cache pot, with inlaid veneers of mahogany and walnut and burled elm. Bronze mounted with two handles, gallery and trim. Original painted zinc liner. Good restored condition with minor losses. A beautiful planter for the display of orchids or ferns. Circa 1880-1900.
