Romey T. Brough (b. 1944) has been an active artist and painter for over 60 years. She studied initially at Harrow Art School in Middlesex, north of London, and was awarded various certificates including the National Diploma in Design.

She then studied overseas in Italy in Positano and won a scholarship. She went on to study with Professor Spadini at the Rome Academy. Her work has been hung regularly in London's Royal Academy and is in the archives of London's Tate Gallery, as well as a number of galleries and collections throughout the UK, Japan, Australia, and America.

Exclusive personal statement from the artist:

"I have to say that my art has kept me sort of sane through two marriages and one live-in relationship...with two children from my first marriage.

I no longer can do oil paintings to the standard that satisfies me, because of shaky hands, but after a severe period of introspection decided to focus on the monoprints I had been "playing" with...pure colour no brush marks...that lead to a fascination with how the various types of acrylic paint react against each other" See less
