The Sylvan pattern was first registered by Johnson Brothers on April 4, 1889, using the English Registration number 122733. The design features a transferware print of various hedgerow plants and flowers. It was produced primarily in brown and blue colors on a cream or ivory semi-porcelain body. The pattern was manufactured from the late 1880s through the early 20th century (approximately 1889 to the 1920s) and is now a discontinued antique/vintage collectible. This platter measures 13” long by 9 1/2” wide and is in great condition. There are some scratches due to use but no chips, cracks or crazing. This is an elegant piece to add to your collection.
