This antique two-pan scale, complete with its original set of weights, is a collector's item, ideal for enhancing rustic kitchens, vintage pharmacies, or spaces with a refined, industrial feel.

Subject and Style: This is a classic "Roberval" countertop model of excellent craftsmanship. The cast iron base is finely fretworked with elegant scrollwork and features the weight indications in relief in the center. A highly prized and rare detail is the central index, decorated with two striking opposing dragon heads (or mythological creatures). The set includes the original wooden block containing the set of brass weights.

Material and Finish: The supporting structure is made of heavy iron and cast iron with a beautiful dark, weathered patina. The two pans are made of brass and feature a warm gold hue. The weights are solid brass and housed in their own dark, solid wood block.
