A refined and architecturally balanced set of six dining chairs designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, exemplifying the designer’s rationalist approach and mastery of structural clarity. The chairs combine sculptural simplicity with ergonomic sophistication, resulting in a timeless and highly collectible ensemble. Each chair features a solid wooden frame with clean, rectilinear lines supporting a suspended saddle leather seat. The thick leather is elegantly curved to form both seat and backrest in a continuous flowing gesture, creating a dynamic profile while ensuring comfort and flexibility. The leather is secured with visible hardware, highlighting Mangiarotti’s characteristic emphasis on honest construction and material expression. The warm tone of the wood harmonizes beautifully with the rich cognac-red leather, which has developed a soft patina over time. Excellent vintage condition consistent with age and use. The leather shows natural patina, light creasing, and very minor surface marks. The wooden frames are structurally sound with very minor wear.
