It features a classically styled boy and girl in French Renaissance attire, set against a detailed foliate central column.

The boy and girl stand atop an oval base with a motif border, topped with palm finials. The lamp has a cord and a switch at the rear base.

Condition Note: The lamp is in beautifully aged antique condition, working, and is full of character. It features a genuine aged patina, including some paint chips and minor dings, consistent with its century-long history. These small imperfections do not detract from the sculpture's romantic charm but rather highlight its authenticity as a true antique. The lamp is in working order and ready to add a touch of "shabby chic" elegance to any space.

The lamp stands at approximately 22", socket to socket, and 16" across. The base measures approximately 9-3/4" W x 6-3/4" L.

Materials:
The lamp is made of cold-painted spelter (white metal).

Note: I described the item as accurately as possible. This is a very beautiful, old, and rare work of craftsmanship. I could not find this particular lamp on any website other than Worth Point while researching its origins. It is said that the mold for the original lamp was created by two French brothers who went under the name L&F Moreau and hid their designs during WWII, for fear they would be seized by the enemy. These molds were forgotten until their discovery in 1948. J.B. Hirsch's lighting company recreated their beautiful Art Nouveau designs for its Francaise Collection, which is made in the USA.

Condition Notes:
A beautiful, rare, authentic, antique, sturdy lamp. It is in good condition, given its age. The original painted finish shows scattered paint chips and minor surface dings, consistent with its age and history, as expected from a vintage, collectible piece. The original cream shades are present but exhibit significant fraying and age-related wear. These imperfections offer a "shabby chic" aesthetic that collectors of Moreau appreciate. The shades are easily replaceable, if you choose to do so.
