Italian mid-century modern daybed, bed or sofa in rattan and metal mesh, 1960s
The frame is made of rattan with bent tubular elements bound with bandages at the joints. It features two low headboards at the ends, slightly rounded and composed of thin vertical slats. A metal spring base is supported by the rattan frame to accommodate the rectangular mattress. The fabric covering has a black background with brown, yellow, red, and green geometric patterns, and features black buttons and piping. It features two cylindrical cushions with bands that can be arranged as desired. The daybed ends with four slightly flared legs reinforced with rattan wrappings.
