The Pluvium umbrella stand, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for the Italian firm Castelli in the 1970s, features a sculptural structure comprised of a cylindrical base and a central column supporting a series of stepped circular platforms designed to collect umbrellas and rainwater. Made of molded plastic, its geometric and modular design reflects the innovative language of Italian design in the 1970s and the Space Age aesthetic characteristic of the period.
