A landmark work by Vitantonio Russo, created in 1971, during a pivotal and pioneering phase of his research in Economic Art. Through the use of abstract forms, diagrams, and clear color fields, the artist transposes the analytical language of economics into a structured visual system, in which sign and color become tools for conceptually interpreting reality.
The composition presents itself as a symbolic map of relationships and flows, typical of Russo's work in the early 1970s, a period in which graphic art took on an autonomous and experimental role, freed from traditional painting and oriented toward an interdisciplinary reflection on art, economics, and language.
The work is an original graphic on paper, signed lower right and numbered 26/30, a detail that underscores its limited edition and collector's value. The work fits coherently with the artist's career, a professor of International Economics and a key figure in Italian conceptual art, who was present at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009.
A work of particular historical and theoretical interest, ideal for collectors interested in the Italian avant-garde of the late twentieth century and the experiments between art and economic thought.
