Tibetan Votive Panel of Begtse Polychromed Carved Wood. Unusual wood carving with polychrome, created to honor the dharmapala Begets, protector of the faith. polychrome and shellac on wood. Strong and impressive imagery and colors.
The measurements are 9.25" by 12.25".
Carved wooden panel of the Dharmapala Begtse surrounded by the 29 Butchers and accompanied by his consort, Rikpay Lhamo, and his main general, Laihansorgodog. Finely carved and painted in glowing colors. The whole is fitted into a shallow box with rows of butchers and columns of flames up each side.
