Decorative ceramic pitcher produced by Zsolnay Pécs, Hungary, featuring richly colored Ottoman-inspired floral decoration in cobalt, turquoise, rose, and green on an ivory ground.
Zsolnay pottery is well known for incorporating Persian and Turkish decorative traditions into European art pottery of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The pitcher has a classic baluster form with curved handle, deep cobalt rim, and pronounced pouring lip. Zsolnay mark visible on the underside.
A striking decorative vessel that displays beautifully on its own or within a collection of art pottery.
