The furniture is veneered with Makassar ebony with a distinctive, contrasting grain pattern. Characteristic of the era are the geometric shape, black lacquered plinths, and cube-shaped handles.
The tops are made of natural black marble with golden veining (Portoro type). Each top has a unique stone pattern – a natural feature of the material.

This difference is most likely due to the fact that the stone slab comes from a different batch of stone blocks, which is natural and often found in stone tops used in Art Deco furniture.
