an original side table or flower stand from the gdr period, manufactured by hal lei. The model is marked on the original manufacturer's label as art. No. 3251 – blumenhocker.
the table has a distinctive triangular top with a decorative geometric pattern and an elegant brass-colored metal rim. The whole is mounted on three slender, conical beech wood legs, typical of mid-century modern design in central europe.
the original hal lei manufacturer's label is preserved on the underside, with information about production in accordance with the tgl 6074 standard used in the gdr industry. The label also indicates the materials used: beech wood and sprelacart board, a decorative laminate popular in the 1960s and used in functional furniture.
thanks to its form, the table can serve as:
- a side table next to a sofa
- a coffee table
- a flower stand (in accordance with its original purpose – blumenhocker)
- a decorative element in a vintage or mid-century interior.
condition:
good vintage condition. Minor signs of wear on the metal rim and base, consistent with its age.
