Its spectacular form breaks with all classical vase conventions: while it appears almost perfectly circular from the front, the side view, with a depth of only 15 cm, reveals a fascinating, flat silhouette. Standing 50 cm tall with a circular base diameter of over 45 cm, this object possesses a monumental presence. The design virtuously plays with colors and textures: around the opening, a glossy red glaze creates an intense, almost signal-like accent. In contrast, the vast main surface is covered with a relief-like Fat Lava glaze in brown and white tones. This rough, volcanic structure lends the vase an organic weight that harmonizes beautifully with the geometric rigor of the circular form. The combination of its enormous size, unusual depth, and radical glaze mix makes this model a sculptural masterpiece of the 1960s.
