This is a quite incredible whatnot, significantly better in terms of quality, design and elegance than just about any other which we have ever seen. It has clearly been produced in one of the best Regency cabinet making workshops, using only the very best materials and skills.
from a practical perspective it has many uses indeed, far too many to list here and an added feature is that is designed to look just as happy against a wall, or in the middle of the room.
For the only whatnot we have ever seen, or found, of similar design you can view Christies New York Important English Furniture Sale (9488), which took place on 19th October 2000. Lot 249 very closely relates to this particular article.
As with all items which we offer for sale this item has been inspected in our workshops by our skilled antique furniture restorers and received a natural wax polish to ensure it is in optimum condition before going on sale, meaning it is ready for immediate placement within the home following purchase.
