This sculpture by American artist Alex Gabriel Bernstein features an elongated droplet silhouette crafted from translucent yellow glass. This piece embodies Bernstein's distinctive style, characterized by its heavy cast form and jagged, crystal-like protrusions carved into its prominent curvature. Unlike many of Bernstein's works, which typically consist of transparent, vibrantly colored circular pieces, this sculpture is unique for its soft, muted coloring, satin finish, and vertical, crested shape. Weighing approximately 10 pounds, this heavy sculpture measures 20" in height, 8 1/2" in width, and 3" in depth and sits securely on its flat base.
