Enhance your collection with this striking pair of antique Japanese Musha Ningyo (warrior dolls), traditionally displayed during the Tango no Sekku (Boys’ Day) festival to symbolize strength and courage. These figures date to the late Meiji Period (1868–1912) and stand approximately 9 inches tall.

Craftsmanship & Materials:

• Heads & Hands: Expertly crafted using gofun, a traditional Japanese paste made from ground oyster shells, giving the faces a beautiful, porcelain-like finish.

• Body: Hand-carved wood.

• Clothing: Dressed in authentic, intricate silk brocade textiles featuring traditional motifs.

These dolls are over 100 years old and show "wabi-sabi" character consistent with their age:
