This is a beautiful antique Japanese Imari porcelain bowl, dating to the Meiji Period (18681912). The interior features a vibrant hand-painted central diamond panel depicting a traditional landscape with a bridge, pine trees, and cherry blossoms in iron-red, green, and gold enamels. The scene is set against a rich cobalt blue underglaze background with gilded bamboo leaf motifs.
The exterior rim is decorated with a continuous "karakusa" (scrolling vine) and floral pattern in underglaze blue with iron-red accents. The underside bears a blue four-character "Fuku" (Good Fortune) mark or similar kiln seal.
Measurements: * Diameter: Approx. 8.5 inches (21.5 cm)
Height: Approx. 1.75 inches (4.5 cm)
Condition: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor expected age-related wear to the gold gilding and light stacking wear on the interior. A very clean and well-preserved example of Arita export ware.
