This monumental pair of bronze lions recalls the tradition of European guardian lions seen at palace entrances and historic estates. Inspired by Renaissance prototypes such as the famous Medici Lions of Florence, the sculptures feature powerful seated forms, expressive manes, and a regal presence designed to flank entrances, staircases, or grand garden settings.
The sculptures exhibit exceptional scale and presence, standing over four and a half feet tall and weighing nearly 300 pounds each. The deep bronze patina enhances the sculptural detail of the flowing mane and muscular form, giving the figures a commanding architectural presence.
