An exceptional mid-Victorian footed porcelain bowl dating to approximately 1850–1860. This piece features a vibrant "Royal Blue" cobalt border with three hand-painted floral reserves. The intricate gold gilding, including delicate chain-link borders and scrollwork, is typical of the high-quality craftsmanship found in mid-19th-century European porcelain. The body is remarkably translucent, glowing warmly when lit, confirming its superior fine bone china composition.
Condition
The bowl is in excellent condition for its age. The porcelain is free from chips or cracks. There is some honest wear to the gilding on the high points of the handles and the rim, consistent with over 150 years of age.
