Large antique decorative textile panel mounted on its original wooden roller, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The panel features a charming romantic garden composition with a trellis pergola covered with flowering branches, a suspended bouquet and a small bird in flight. In the background a soft landscape completes the scene, creating a poetic garden atmosphere.

This type of decorative textile was traditionally used in verandas, winter gardens or large windows, where the fabric filtered the light while creating the illusion of an open garden.

The composition reflects the same decorative taste found in the famous French papier peint panoramique, produced by manufacturers such as Zuber, Dufour and Desfossé & Karth, whose panoramic wallpapers depicting gardens, plants and birds were highly fashionable in European interiors.

Today the panel works beautifully as a large wall hanging or architectural textile decoration, adding character and historical charm to an interior.
