This piece features a hand-braided reticulated basket, expertly formed from interlaced ceramic coils and finished in a creamy white tin glaze.
The basket is filled with a permanent, life-sized trompe l’oeil arrangement of a pear, apple, lemon, and banana, accented by clusters of cherries on wire stems. Each fruit element is mold-formed and hand-painted with polychrome glazes, using stippling techniques to achieve realistic organic variegation. The original gold foil label is present on the underside, confirming its "fatto a mano" (handmade) origin in Bassano, Italy. See less
