Made of thick hand-blown Murano … Read more Set of 2 sommerso Murano glass bowls designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso (Italy, 1960s/1970s). Made of thick hand-blown Murano glass. Rare two-tone versions. High quality glass craftsmanship. They perfectly work as bowls, trinket bowls, catch-alls/vide poches, ashtrays or as high-end decorative objects. ''Sommerso'' is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1960s/70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colors that is commonly caused by a clear layer.

Red, dark red and transparent bowl: width: 6.7''; depth: 4.9''; height: 2.2''. weight: 760 g.
Blue, dark blue and transparent bowl: width: 4.7''; depth: 4.7''; height: 2.4''. weight: 450 g.

Barely readable label at the bottom of the blue bowl (can be removed very easily if needed). Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks.
