Vintage Ebony African Hand Carving Man's Bust. Attributed to Kenyan or Tanzanian craftsmanship.
Stunning Tribal Sculpture with beautifully detailed beard and hair. Intricate, elongated earlobes with striking earrings. Incredibly regal in nature. A truly magnificent piece created with the work of a master craftsman.
Ebony is a dense black hardwood, most commonly yielded by several different species in the genus Diospyros, which also contains the persimmons. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. It is finely-textured and has a very smooth finish when polished, making it valuable as an ornamental wood.
Care: Dust with feather duster. Avoid using harsh cleaners of any kind.
