From 1923-1933, famed Italian designer and architect, Gio Ponti worked as an artistic director for prominent porcelain maker, Richard Ginori. During his prolific career, Ponti designed more than 100 buildings in Italy and all over the world. His designs have been exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The MoMA, and more.
This pattern called Ippica (horse racing) was designed by Ponti in 1929 and shows the jackets of the top racehorse staples of the 1920s.
